Lawrence Weschler

Lawrence Weschler is a writer of creative non-fiction whose works have spanned a breadth of subject from Polish culture to political exiles to conceptual art. His collection of essays Everything that Rises: A Book of Convergences (McSweeney’s, 2006) won the National Book Critics Circle Award for Criticism; Mr. Wilson’s Cabinet of Wonder (Vintage, 1996), on the Museum of Jurassic Technology, was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize. Weschler was a staff writer at the New Yorker for twenty years, where he was a two-time winner of a George Polk Award for magazine reporting. He currently directs New York University’s Institute for the Humanities.
