Billy Jam and California DJ culture

For three hours, Billy Jam took occupancy at the Museum admission counter for a live broadcast on WFMU. The show discussed the roots and spirit of California DJ culture and its contributions to the national scene, and included performances by special guests Pam the Funktress (The Coup and BASS), DJ Platurn (Oakland Faders), DJ Quest (Live Human and Space Travelers), Dawgisht (live beats), Mista B, DNZ, and Deeandroid. DJ Mia Moretti, Oakland-born and currently living in New York City, joined the conversation before her performance later in the evening.
